Do I Have Anger Issues Β· type
The Dry Kindling
The threshold has come down. Things that would have stayed small a year ago are catching β which is a fact about your month at least as much as a fact about you.
What this type is
Your answers put you where most people land when something has been quietly running them down. The anger itself is not extreme; what has changed is how little it now takes to start it. Small friction catches. The interruption, the queue, the message with the wrong tone, the person moving slowly in front of you. And often the heat arrives before you have finished working out what actually happened, which is not a failure of self-control β the appraisal that produces anger runs in a fraction of a second, well ahead of the deliberate part of you that would have judged the situation as minor. By the time the reasonable assessment shows up, the body is already going.
Here is the most useful thing on this page, and it is worth reading slowly. Anger is almost never the top emotion. It is fast, it is energising, and it arrives first, which is precisely what makes it such good cover for something slower underneath. Beneath most of the small flares in a month like yours there is tiredness, or embarrassment, or the feeling of not being taken seriously, or fear about something unrelated, or a boundary that has been crossed for weeks without ever being named out loud. So the translation is this: "I am angry" usually means "something matters to me and I have not said it." That is not a way of talking yourself out of the anger, and it is not a suggestion that you are overreacting. It is the way to find the thing the anger came to report, because the thing underneath is the only part that can actually be dealt with.
Two practical notes. First, the threshold is the most changeable of the three facets and a good deal of it is not psychological at all: sleep debt, pain, hunger, alcohol the night before, some medications and a handful of medical conditions lower it directly and measurably. If your month contained any of those, read the trigger bar as partly a report on that rather than on your temperament. Second, if the burn bar is up alongside it, the loop is doing more damage than the flares β going back over an argument keeps the physiology raised, so each rehearsal is a small re-dose rather than a step towards being finished with it. And if any of this has ever landed hard enough to frighten someone, that belongs with a professional now, whatever these bars say.
What people with this result notice
Four of the eight notes the test writes for this type; the rest come with your own result.
π₯ Anger is almost never the top emotion
It is fast and energising and it arrives first, which makes it excellent cover for something slower underneath β tiredness, embarrassment, not being taken seriously, fear about something unrelated, a boundary crossed for weeks without being named. The translation worth memorising: "I am angry" usually means "something matters to me and I have not said it."
βοΈ The line a score cannot carry
If any of this has come out in a way that frightened someone, or as shoving, throwing something, punching a wall or a threat, that goes to a professional now, independently of these bars. Not as a verdict β because the people near you carry the risk while it goes unaddressed, and that is not something to file behind a result.
What produces this result
Every answer feeds one overall score, and that score falls into one of 3 bands. The bands are levels of the same thing, not different kinds of person.

This is a screening-style questionnaire, not a diagnosis. A high score is a reason to talk to someone who can assess properly.
