The Even Signal

Attention holds, starts happen, stillness is available — what shows up here is the ordinary kind, and the specific days are the ones to notice.

What this type is

Your answers put you in the range most adults report: attention drifts sometimes, starting is occasionally hard, restlessness shows up under pressure. None of the three facets is running your day. This is not a verdict about whether you have ADHD — a screening-style check cannot make one in either direction — but it is a reasonable reading that, on a typical month, attention is not the thing standing between you and what you meant to do.

What this gives you is a baseline. If a period arrives where the thread stops holding — a new job, a bad sleep run, a stretch of stress — you will have a sense of what normal looked like, and you will know the change is a change rather than a trait.

Where it can mislead is in the word "even." An average score can still hide one facet that is loud: someone who never fidgets and finishes everything can still lose an hour a day to starting. The facet bars above are the reading; the overall band is only the summary. And if you scored low here and still recognise yourself in the descriptions of attention difficulty, that recognition is real information a clinician can look at. A questionnaire measures a month. A person is longer than that.

What people with this result notice

Four of the eight notes the test writes for this type; the rest come with your own result.

📊 Read the bars, not the band

An even overall score can sit on top of one loud facet. Look at the three bars above: if one is well above the others, that is your reading, and the summary is just an average that hid it.

📌 Keep this as a baseline

Scores like these move with sleep, stress and workload. If a month arrives where the thread stops holding, you will know what normal looked like — and that the change is a change, not a trait you suddenly acquired.

What produces this result

Every answer feeds one overall score, and that score falls into one of 3 bands. The bands are levels of the same thing, not different kinds of person.

Attention & follow-throughGetting started & organisingRestlessness & impulse

This is a screening-style questionnaire, not a diagnosis. A high score is a reason to talk to someone who can assess properly.
