A One who takes it personally — the standard applies to how people are treated, not just to how work is done.
Type 1 (The Reformer) with a 2 (The Helper) wing
What 1w2 is
1w2 puts the One's principles into contact with people. It produces the reformer who is genuinely warm about it: doing the right thing includes doing right by whoever is in front of them, and that makes this wing far more interpersonal than 1w9.
What distinguishes this wing in practice is that the standard has a person attached to it. A 1w9 is bothered that the thing is wrong; a 1w2 is bothered that someone is being let down by it. That makes this wing far more likely to intervene, to volunteer, and to take on other people's problems as matters of principle rather than of kindness.

Against 1w9, this wing is engaged rather than withdrawn. 1w9 corrects quietly and holds back; 1w2 tells you, helps you, and is hurt when the help is not received. The anger is also closer to the surface here.

Most often mistaken for a Two, particularly by 1w2s themselves, because the helping is so visible. The tell is what happens when help is refused: a Two feels rejected, a 1w2 feels the other person is making a mistake. The judgement is the giveaway — Twos want to be wanted, 1w2s want things to be right.
1w2 in relationships
Warm, involved, and quick to correct. The pattern that strains a relationship is the combination of high standards with high investment: a 1w2 gives a great deal and then holds the other person to what that investment deserves. Naming the expectation before the resentment forms is the whole job here.

What is the difference between 1w2 and Type 2?
Motivation. A Two helps to be needed; a 1w2 helps because it is the right thing and gets frustrated rather than hurt when the help is declined.
Why is 1w2 called the Advocate?
Because the principles get applied on behalf of people. This wing is the one that ends up in reform, teaching and advocacy roles, where being right and being of use are the same activity.
Is 1w2 more critical than 1w9?
More vocal, not more critical. 1w9 holds the same judgements privately; 1w2 says them, usually with an offer of help attached.
