Am I Lonely · type
The Far Shore
All three facets, at once. This is a description of a situation you are in — not a finding about whether you are worth knowing.
What this type is
Your answers are well above what most people report on all three facets. There has been little contact this month; there has been no one who knew what was actually going on; and there has been nowhere you belonged, no room you were expected in, nobody who would have noticed a week of silence. This is the version people mean when they say the word properly, and there is no reason to soften the description, because you already know what the month was like and being told it was probably not that bad would be one more piece of evidence that nothing gets through. It is also more common than it looks from inside it. Loneliness at this level does not produce a sound and does not show up on anyone's radar, so people at this score consistently believe they are unusual, and they are not.
Two things are worth saying plainly. The first is that sustained loneliness at this level has real physical consequences — the evidence links it with cardiovascular outcomes, immune function, cognitive decline in later life and overall mortality, at effect sizes that startled the researchers who first assembled them. That is said here for one reason: to give this the weight it deserves, so that it stops being filed as a mood or a personal failing and starts being treated as a health matter with a legitimate claim on your time and on a doctor's. It is not said to frighten you, and it should not be read as a countdown. The effects are of long duration and they are reversible, they concern populations rather than predicting anything about you in particular, and people move out of this every day. If you notice the fear arriving rather than the seriousness, put that part down; the part to keep is that this is worth acting on.
The second is more important. A score like this is not a judgement about whether you are worth knowing, easy to love, or interesting to be around, however precisely it may feel like one. It is a circumstance. Loneliness at this level is produced by situations — a move, a bereavement, a break-up, illness, care work, a shift pattern, a job that consumed the years when people build their networks, a group that dissolved when everyone had children — and situations are the kind of thing that change. If this month contained one of those, the score is describing the situation and not you, however completely it currently reads as a personal verdict. And the way out is smaller than the size of the result suggests. It is not meeting more people: that tops up the facet that is least of your problem and its failure is what convinces people the fault is in them. It is one person who already knows you, at all, to any degree, and one true sentence in place of "fine" — being known is produced by disclosure and by nothing else, and everything else on this page is downstream of that. Then something repeating that nobody has to arrange each time, because frequency and low friction are what closeness is actually built from. Two more things. At this score a professional is worth more than any technique here, both because loneliness and depression overlap so heavily that they are regularly mistaken for one another and because a therapist is a person whose entire function is to know what is going on with you, which is the exact shortage you are in. And separately from everything above: if this has come with thoughts of not wanting to be here, please do not wait — a crisis line, a doctor, someone you trust, today.

🌘 This is a situation, not a verdict on you
A score like this feels precisely like a judgement about whether you are worth knowing, and it is not one. It is a circumstance. Loneliness at this level is produced by situations — a move, a bereavement, a break-up, illness, care work, a shift pattern, a job that took the years when people build their networks, a group that dissolved when everyone had children — and situations are the kind of thing that change. It is also far more common than it looks from inside, because this level makes no sound and appears on nobody's radar, so people at this score reliably conclude they are unusual. They are not.
📞 If it has gone further than lonely
If any of this has come with thoughts of not wanting to be here, that is a conversation to have today rather than a result to read — a crisis line, a doctor, someone you trust. Please do not wait for it to make more sense first, and do not wait until you can explain it well. And if that is not where you are but the month has been heavy in that direction, telling one person that it has been bad is a smaller step than it sounds and it is the one that tends to move things.
What produces this result
Every answer feeds one overall score, and that score falls into one of 3 bands. The bands are levels of the same thing, not different kinds of person.

This is a screening-style questionnaire, not a diagnosis. A high score is a reason to talk to someone who can assess properly.
