What this type is

The picture this usually describes is a person who gets things done and pays for it: the day that runs late because starting took an hour, the conversation whose second half was lost, the tab left open for a week. From inside it can feel like a character problem — laziness, carelessness — and it is worth saying plainly that it is not one. It is a pattern of attention and activation that costs effort other people do not have to spend.
The facet that is loudest is the one to read. High attention drift with low restlessness is a different experience from the reverse, and the two respond to different scaffolding: externalised reminders and shorter blocks for the first, movement and deliberate friction before decisions for the second.
Where this reading is honest about its limits: a middle score is the one most affected by the month you happened to take it in. Sleep, stress, anxiety and burnout all raise these numbers, and this check cannot tell them apart from a lifelong trait. If the pattern has been there since childhood and shows up in more than one setting, that is the shape clinicians look for, and it is worth a conversation. If it arrived with a bad year, look at the year first.
