What this type is
Investigative came out as your strongest Holland interest. It is the pull toward understanding — analysing, researching, testing, wanting to know how the thing works before deciding what to do about it. Investigative people are drawn to problems more than to people or products, and they are happiest when the problem is hard.
The gift is depth and honesty. You do not accept the explanation because it was offered; you check. You are the person who found the flaw in the assumption, the one whose report can be relied on, and you bring rigour to fields that badly need it. Science, medicine, engineering, analysis, and any work where being right matters are your natural ground.
The friction is that understanding can become a way of never arriving. There is always one more variable, one more question, and the decision — or the conversation, or the shipping — gets deferred behind it. You can also underrate the parts of work that are not intellectual: selling the finding, managing the people, sitting through the meeting where the thing gets funded. Under pressure you retreat into the analysis. The work is to set a point at which enough is known, and to treat the human, persuasive part of the job as a problem worth solving too.
What people with this result notice
Four of the eight notes the test writes for this type; the rest come with your own result.
🔍 You need to understand it before you trust it
Where others take a claim on faith, you take it apart first. That is why your conclusions hold. Watch for the moment another question becomes a way of not deciding — if the next answer would not change what you do, you are done.
🔬 Depth is your default, and it costs breadth
You would rather know one thing completely than six things well enough. The cost is that you can be the last to notice the question itself has moved. Once a week, ask what problem the work is actually for.
What produces this result
Each answer adds to one of 6 facets. Whichever facet ends up highest names your type, so the result is about what leads rather than what is absent.
