What this type is

Social came out as your strongest Holland interest. It is the pull toward helping — teaching, caring, counselling, developing other people — and toward work whose product is a person who is better off. Social people are drawn to relationships more than to things or data, and they find work that lacks a human face hollow.

The gift is that people are genuinely better for having encountered you. You listen, you explain, you notice the one who is struggling and go to them, and you make institutions humane from the inside. Education, healthcare, coaching, community work, HR, and any role that is fundamentally about other people's growth are where you belong.

The friction is that the giving has no natural stop. Social interests correlate with burnout in the helping professions for a reason: the need is infinite, the boundary is yours to draw, and drawing it feels like a betrayal of the thing you care about. You can also undervalue the technical and administrative parts of the work, and be taken advantage of by systems that count on your unwillingness to say no. Under pressure you give more. The work is to treat your own capacity as the resource everything else depends on — to ration it deliberately, and to let other people help you.

What people with this result notice

Four of the eight notes the test writes for this type; the rest come with your own result.

🔦 You show up before people ask

You notice who is struggling and move toward them, without being sent. That instinct holds teams together and almost never appears on a review. Notice when you are running on warmth you have not replenished — the tell is resentment at people who never knew they owed you.

🌱 Helping is not the same as being needed

It is easy to feel most yourself when someone depends on you, and to quietly arrange things so they do. Once a week, help in a way that makes you less necessary next time.

What produces this result

Each answer adds to one of 6 facets. Whichever facet ends up highest names your type, so the result is about what leads rather than what is absent.
